With the announcement from the UK Government that Step 3 is being implemented from the 4th July onwards we are taking steps to recommence Dual Flying in July 2020.

Working with our National Association, the BHPA, Phase 3 of flying which includes "Dual Air Experience flights" is now being finalised in reference to procedures and guidelines to ensure we keep our clients safe and secure.

For those who have dates booked in our calendar for July we will be contacting you this week. If you have a voucher, and you are not already booked in with potential dates, we have availability from the 13th July onwards.

With the new recovery strategy set out by the UK Government and Public Health England, in conjunction with our National Association, the BHPA we are looking to follow these BHPA guidelines:

"The Association anticipates a three-phase restarting of its activities, beginning with an initial phase of flying activity by qualified pilots only (Club Pilot and above). Phase two will be solo training at BHPA schools. Phase three will be dual air experience flights and dual flights for passengers who are not members of the pilot's household. Phase 3 will only be authorised upon the issuing of guidance on proximity between members of the public, that can be applied effectively to dual flying."

As our Air Experience flights are considered "dual flying" we will be looking to restart under Phase 3 of this program.

To that effect, the BHPA are planning to issue guidelines on how this will work in the next few weeks. Once we have reviewed this information for compliancy and ensure the safety of our clients we will provide an update on when we will recommence flying.

Important Update

With the outbreak of the Covid-19 Virus, following the guidelines set by Public Health England (PHE) we regrettably announce that we will suspend all our Tandem Air Experience flying until further notice.

Even though the risk involved is minimal due to the very nature of the sport being outside with plenty of space, small group sizes and limited contact, the safety of our clients is nonetheless paramount.

We will continue to monitor this and provide updates here on any changes in dates and advice from PHE in relation to our activities.

In order to provide flexibility for those who currently have a voucher for a flight, we will EXTEND all vouchers that are due to expire this year to 31ST DECEMBER 2020. For those people who are booked in to fly between now and the 1st July 2020 we will be in contact to organise booking future dates.

We are still accepting new bookings and continue to offer our very flexible 2 year validity period which would commence on 1st June 2020.

Well the weather is finally taking a turn for the better with some extended drier periods on the long range forecast. We are of course, monitoring the current situation with regard to the Covid-19 Virus. Our intention is to consult with our partners who own our sites as well as the guidance from Public Health England the our governing body, the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association.
