Thanks to the Upottery Towing Club this was a fitting day to Aero-tow at Smeatharpe. Old disused WW2 Airfield.
On the night of June 5th 1944, 81 aircraft took off with 1357 Paratroops. They started jumping into Normandy, France, just after midnight on June 6th, D-Day, 1944.
