29-07-2017

We have had a great month for flying the Tandem Hang Glider in July. With visitors from different parts of the country, the Air Experience flights have proved very popular.

50th's & 70th's birthdays as well as those aspiring to fulfil their dreams!

The long range forecast isn't too promising for flying. The jet stream has shifted, bringing in periods of warm fronts and the accompanying rain with it. We are watching ahead after the 7th August to see if the conditions will change on the August synopsis.

Tandem Hang Gliding Air Experience's this week in the UK

21-06-2017

After the balmy heat wave the forecast is set to settle down with on-shore Westerly winds starting later today.

That means soaring conditions for Tandem Hang gliding flights in Woolacombe, North Devon on one of the south west's most spectacular coastline areas.

The synopsis shows a cold front moving through with winds coming from the West North West direction tomorrow.

Saturday is looking similar as well. Last week we have a great day on Monday - flying all day and into the evening.

Weather system moving through Saturday - watching Sunday

25-05-2017

It has been a quite a dry May - we have managed to get in a few flights between the showers during the middle of the month.

Looking ahead - a weather front is moving through the South West on Saturday, so we are watching the winds behind that for Sunday. On the long range we have an on-shore breeze forecasted for Tuesday as well so get in touch if you are marked down for either of these days.

Weather changing Thursday - watching the weather from Friday

09-05-2017

The High Pressure system which has dominated the weather pattern for 10 days is finally getting pushed out the way as an Atlantic Low brings rain and unsettled conditions Thursday evening. We will see what the pattern is after this has moved through to check for the Westerly winds which we need for Tandem Hang Gliding

Easterly winds until Monday so no Tandems until next week

02-05-2017

We have some easterly winds on the forecast as a stationary high pressure sits over the UK. Unfortunately that is the wrong direction for Tandem Hang Gliding at Woolacombe.

We will provide an update at the weekend once the system moves through.
