Tandem Hang Gliding in Devon yesterday, watching the weekend weather

06-04-2016

We were treated to some on-shore westerly winds on Tuesday in Woolacombe, North Devon which brought Brian and Benjamin to the hill for their Tandem Hang Gliding Air Experience flights.

Once we were rigged, and performed our checks, Benjamin took to the skies, on a cool but sunny afternoon, flying high above the sparkling sands of Woolacombe beach.

20 minutes of exhilerating soaring and thermalling before floating back down to earth below. Waiting patiently to experience his flight next was Brian who has visited the hill once before. We had a cracking flight and managed to climb up to 800 feet above the beach - watching the world below from our vantage point high above the coastline of North Devon.

The long range forecast is looking unsettled but we are keeping an eye on the weekend for some potential for on-shore Westerly winds. If you have a voucher then let us know what dates you are available as our calendar is filling up quickly.

Benjamin has a couple of Tandem Flights!

Due to a last minute cancellation eight year old Ben had the opportunity to go Tandem Hang Gliding over the North Devon Coast today. Father and son in harmony over the beautiful North Devon Coastline was perfect ending to a lovely spring day. We are watching Wednesday and potentially the weekend for some more Air Experience's.

Well after a long and wet winter, the ground has finally dried up enough for us to start Tandem Hang Gliding at Woolacombe. We have a wet few days ahead of us but after that we will start following the weather and looking for those on-shore Westerly to Northerly Winds.

We have availability from the 17th March on-wards so if you have a voucher please contact us with your available dates and we will pencil you into our calendar.

Early February looking blustery and Windy

30-01-2016

The flying season is not too far away now for Tandem Hang Gliding in North Devon. However, the current 7 to 10 day forecast is still looking blustery, windy and wet. Hopefully we will still be looking at commencing flying around the second weekend in February. The flying site will be inspected on Tuesday 2nd February to see what the ground conditions are like.
