High over Woolacombe last Wednesday, long range though not promising

12-10-2015

We had some great Tandem Hang Gliding Flights in the South West last week, taking a group of four people flying over Woolacombe Bay on Wednesday.

Some fantastic climbs up to almost 1400 feet above the beach at times. The long range however does not look favourable for flying at Woolacombe. We are forecasted winds from the East all week; when we start seeing some westerly winds on the radar we will update you.

Potentially flying middle of the week

Now the sunny warm easterly winds has passed on we are in for a couple of days of windy and blustery weather. It should clear middle of the week though to give us some on-shore westerly winds for Tandem Hang Gliding in Devon. We are looking at Wednesday so if you have a voucher and are available then get in touch.

Closed until Thursday 1st October 2015

28-09-2015

We are closed until Thursday this week, easterly winds forecast so time to have a little break from flying! We will update you on the flying conditions for the weekend and beyond on Thursday.

Weather window was Monday, long range not promising

24-09-2015

We found a break in the weather on Monday to take a group Tandem Hang Gliding at Woolacombe.

Superb conditions allowed us to fly like a bird and soar over North Devon to over 1100 feet!

The long range weather forecase has a high pressure system dominating next week so we won't be getting the westerly winds needed to

Tandem Hang Glide over Woolacombe. We will update you as the week develops.

Good tandem flying last week, this week it's dodging showers!
