Fantastic Tandem Hang Gliding at Woolacombe yesterday!

02-09-2015

With some clear skies and a warm atlantic sea temperature, we are moving into the season for Sea Thermals! When the ground temperature is cooler than the sea, the warm air rolls off the ocean and provides us with some fantastic lift as it rises above the cool ground below.Yesterday at Woolacombe The National Trust Working Holiday Group were on the hill to learn more about Hang Gliding. We gave the group a good briefing on the sport and the weather before taking some of them up to the sky through a Tandem Hang Gliding Air Experience. The forecast is similar again for Wednesday so keep an eye out if you are in the area and look up to the skies above and give us a wave!

Wet weather this week fingers crossed for Sunday onwards

25-08-2015

The jet stream has shifted this last week so we are now getting the frequencies of unsettled weather with systems rolling in off the Atlantic. Hopefully there will be a break at the end of the weekend to bring in some drier air. Sunday onwards looks potentially better at the moment.
