We have a couple of great flying days ahead at Woolacombe. Today was the first of three good forecasted days for Tandem Hang Gliding.

Miranda and Gareth had two flights this afternoon which they both really enjoyed.

Gareth though had some bragging rights as we reached close to a 1000 feet over the beach as we climbed out in some thermals.

As the evening started to set in, Steve came over with some friends and got the pick of the flights. We were able to fly from Woolacombe itself all the way to Putsborough.

Tomorrow and Saturday look good for Tandem flying. We are also keeping an eye on early next week as well.

Westerly winds are heading our way from Wednesday on-wards so we are looking at Tandem Hang Gliding towards the end of this week. Thursday and Friday and potentially the weekend are all looking promising at the moment. If you still haven't used your voucher and are free in the evenings then get in touch. We had some great tandem flights on Friday and Saturday, Sarah from Barnstaple, Michael from Liverpool and Michelle from Tiverton were treated to some fantastic conditions.

The week ahead shows a High Pressure system moving slowly over the UK so we will be having easterly winds which won't enable us to do any Tandem Hang Gliding Flights. Looking ahead the weather front is due to come through on Friday so we will be watching the weekend closely for any Westerly winds.

The weather on Thursday was fantastic for Tandem Hang Gliding over Woolacombe. Louise from Plymouth and Richard from Instow were on the hill and both managed to experience what it is really like to Fly Like a Bird!

The wind off the ocean was super smooth, enabling us to climb to 1000 feet over the beach below. Richard was in seventh heaven feeling completely relaxed and found the flight so calming.

The weekend looks a little messy ahead - on the long range Tuesday looks possible with on-shore westerly winds. We are getting booked up quickly over the summer so if you are interested in Tandem Hang Gliding then don't leave booking your flight too late.

We had some great Tandems flights over the weekend. Saturday was a Hang Glider day on top of Woolacombe Downs. Up to 7 hang gliders in the air at one point using the breeze off the ocean to allow us to soar the hill.
